This peak is situated in the south of the Langtang region. It towers over the alpine forests which abound in the Lantang valley and the holy lakes of Gosaikunda. This marvelous mountain has an excellent ridge system that provides for some exciting climbing and the summit gives you breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Normally, the summit is taken via the north from Naya Kanga and travels up the east ridge over a layer of ice and snow. The trail to Ganja La climbs steeply through a moraine and up to the glacier shelf below the north east face. The high camp is set up here. It’s a technical 7-8 hour climb from here to reach the summit. In the area of the base camp, there are several smaller peaks to climb to allow for your acclimatization.
