There are two ways to get here, by Air and by Land. The Nepal Airlines is the National Flag carrier of Nepal with flights to/from Delhi, Hongkong, Mumbai, Osaka, Shanghai and Singapore. Other International Airlines operating from /to Kathmandu are Indian Airlines (Delhi, Calcutta, and Vanarasi), Thai International (Bangkok), and Gulf Air (Abu Dhabi). Karkarbhitta, Birgunj, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Dhangadi, Mahendranager, are all border points with India. From most points there are daily bus service to Pokhara and Kathmandu. At theses border points it is easy to make a visa for Nepal, though if you are travelling the other way, into India you need to have your Indian visa already. Indian visas can be made in Kathmandu; they normally take about a week.
Kodari is the border with Tibet. It is only possible to travel this way on an organized group visa either coming from or going to Kathmandu/Lhasa. A few travelers have success traveling into Nepal from the china side, but for the most part all travel into and out of this region are done on an organized group basis.
