This tour is a road trip around the best of Bhutan, it takes in a circuit beginning and ending in the city of Paro. One of the major highlights of this tour is a visit to the stunning Taktsang Monastery, better known as the tigers nest. This tour takes in all the best sights and culture of Bhutan, it visits some stunning valleys and small villages allowing you to get up close and personal with the friendly and welcoming Bhutanese people and the stunning natural beauty of this country. It’s a short format tour allowing you to get a taste of this amazing country.
Day 01: Kathmandu to Paro (By Druk Air flight):
Depart Kathmandu and fly to Paro where you will be met by your guide and transferred to the hotel. You will have a days sightseeing around Paro, sights visited Ta Dzong, Paro Rimpung Dzong, Kichu Lhakhang and Drukgyal Dzong.
Overnight at Hotel in Paro.
Day 02: Paro to Thimphu
After breakfast you visit the Taktsang Monastery a highlight of the trip. The visit requires a short walk. After lunch you drive to Thimphu where you will check in at the hotel and do an afternoon of sightseeing-sights visited include- The National Memorial Chorten, Dupthop Lhakhang, Changkha Monastery and the mini zoo. Finish the day off with viewing at the Sangay Gang View Point (2685m)
Overnight in Hotel in Thimphu.
Day 03. Thimphu
After breakfast, visit the National Library, Painting School, Traditional Medicine Institute and Handicraft Emporium for shopping various Bhutanese Arts and Textiles.
After lunch we will hike to Tango Monastery a one hour 280m climb. In the evening, visit to the Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion).
Overnight in Hotel in Thimphu.
Day04. Thimphu – Punakha - Thimphu:
After early breakfast, drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass, where you can see 108 Bhutanese Stupas. If the weather is clear you can see good views of the snow capped Himalayan range. Further drive to Punakha and visit Punakha Dzong. In the evening take a short hike to Chime Lhakhang “The Temple of Fertility”.
Over night in Hotel in Punakha.
Day05. Thimphu – Paro: Departure:
Early breakfast, drive to Paro and Airport and farewell for your flight to Kathmandu.
