The name Langtang Lirung is famous in the field of mountaineering. The summit stands as 7234m above sea level. This peak is clearly visible from Nepal’s capital city Kathmandu. It is one of the well known peaks for mountaineering in Nepal and it offers several climbing routes accessible from Kyanjin Gompa in Langtang Valley and also from Syabru Bensi. The access is easy from Kathmandu which makes it a great mountain for people not wanting to travel to the Khumbu or Annapurna regions. It’s a challenging climb that rewards the climber with amazing views and a great sense of fulfillment.
