Remote and Restricted Area

The remote areas of Nepal have a lot to offer in the way of attractions and scenery to the valuable visitors. It is more difficult to trek in these areas than Langtang, Everest and Annapurna Due to the remoteness and lack of facilities available. Many of these treks are fully supported and camping treks. To enter most of these areas you need special permits as they are protected areas for wildlife, the indigenous culture and fragile environment. The Himalayan scenery in these parts of Nepal is impressive. For trekking enthusiasts, traversing remote areas offers you a wonderful opportunity to see pristine environments, spectacular panoramas and get intimate with centuries old culture. It allows you to gain a remote insight into what life was like hundreds of years ago, as the ways of the people living in this area has changed little. Trekking to this region is a rewarding journey which only happens once in a lifetime.

Most of these trekking areas used to be restricted to foreigners. Over recent years the government and tourism board has realized the value of these areas to trekkers and more and more places are being opened up for trekking. Permits are beginning to be relaxed and in the future hopefully permit fees will be reduced. How ever the conservation of these areas, not just for trekkers but more importantly for the people and animals that inhabit them comes first and fore most, the trekker should bear that in mind when considering the costs involved to trek in these areas.

Most of the remote area trekking lies in the western and eastern part of the country.  The Gods provided devotedly to this region making it a heaven for the serious trekker or explorer with extreme variation in elevation, geography, geology and unique lifestyle of People.

The regulations for the restricted area were designed primarily to protect the environment and culture of remote areas and to provide security, both for the safety of trekkers and the protection of Nepal. Trek to a restricted area must be arranged as a fully equipped camping trek through a registered trekking company. The company arranges the permit for this region.
There are various enthralling trekking route in this region which are as follows:
