This peak is commonly called Tent Peak and is located in Annapurna Sanctuary amidst an amphitheater of impressive mountains. The peak is accessible from the south side via the Modi Khola River valley. The west flank of the peak is sheltered by the massive south face of Annapurna South and the beautiful glacier which glides down into the bowl of mountains. Tharpu is situated in the middle of all this. The ascent takes you up the south face and involves crossing the south Annapurna glacier which can be difficult and challenging. The high camp is at an altitude of 5000m form here it’s a four hour climb to reach advanced high camp and a further 7 hour climb to reach the summit via the south east ridge, from where you feel as if you are on top o f the world.
