Tibet tour permit is applicable for tourist. Adventure Travelers Club will organize visa, transport, sight seeing and hotel arrangement and others. A visa for China does entitle you to travel in Tibet. Clear photocopy of passport and two pictures of each partaker should be reached to Adventure Travelers Club at least a month proceeding to the trip leaving date.
Regardless of how you travel in Tibet you have to arrange your visa though a travel company. If you plan on travelling onwards into china then you should make your Chinese visa before you enter the country, this can be done in your home country via the Chinese embassy or in Kathmandu, Bangkok or Delhi. If you don’t have a Chinese visa and leave Tibet into china, you can get the relevant paper work in Chengdu, but it can be finicky business.
Be careful not to let your Tibet travel permit expire before you arrive in Chengdu. |
